General Assistance (GA) provides cash assistance and limited Medical
coverage to individuals and couples without dependent children who have
little or no income.
This is a time-limited program and recipients may participate for a
maximum of sixty (60) months. These months do not have to be consecutive
and may be accumulated over many years.
Most recipients of GA are also eligible for Food Stamps.
Benefits are accessed through an Electronic Benefits (EBT) Card.
