Child Support Program (CSP) provides support for children by establishing paternity and administering court ordered genetic paternity testing, locating non-custodial parents, initiating child and medical support complaints, and reviewing existing support obligations for possible adjustment.
For all Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) applicants, cooperation with child support is the required first step for eligibility.
CSP staff provides a full range of services including location, genetic testing and complaint initiation in local and out of state courts. Collection and enforcement of established orders are referred to the appropriate NJ County or out of state Probation Department.
